Despite this zanni’s malformed appearance Grottesco is strong, possessed of great self confidence and a big heart. He may be slow to catch on but once he’s got an idea he will pursue it to the gates of Hell. He is barely articulate, communicating more with spluttered grunts than words. He might serve in Brighella’s tavern or act as Dottore’s assistant wielding medical appliances.
